Hart Island is the largest potter’s field in the world and also a New York City Historical Landmark. Unfortunately it is largely unknown and closed to the general public. This branding project is meant give a public identity to the island. The brand is inspired by a sunset, a natural and peaceful symbol of passing on. The half circle and the sunset colors are meant to represent a peaceful resting place. I designed an information poster with some of the fascinating facts about the island. The app is an augmented reality feature meant to perform self-guided tours of the island. Hopefully one day the island will be open to the public.
